Nothing, didn’t stay as it was cancelled 4 hours before we checked in and was already travelling down 7 hours. Apparently they double booked. Absolutely shocking!!

Central location

− Outside area could do with some attention , lovely outdoor space just need Astro turf probably just a tidy back on the trees , small table and chairs outside and some solar lights . Very simple to make it the amazing place it is

A very comfortable wee flat in Formby

Formby doesn't offer much in the way of accommodation for visitors apart from the golf resort to the east of the town. I don't have a car so I needed something fairly central that was reachable on foot / by bus from Formby railway station and the apartment certainly ticks that box. The flat is small but comfortable, clean and well furnished and perfect for a couple or a person travelling solo like me. The shower is good and the kitchenette well provisioned so I was able to prepare simple meals for myself - there's a very handy Waitrose supermarket just a couple of minutes walk away. I'm happy to recommend this ground floor apartment to anyone considering a visit to the lovely seaside town of Formby which, I'm pleased to say, hasn't changed much since I lived there as a child in the 1970s. Sadly Formby's famous red squirrels have now become almost impossible to spot due to incursions by the greys but a fantastic series of paths and trails have been developed near the beach which is still as vast and impressive as I remembered it - I didn't know until very recently that apparently Formby is famous for its asparagus!

− There was nothing I disliked about the apartment. There is a Wetherspoons pub very close to the flat and I could hear some noise from folk sitting outside on the Friday and Saturday evenings whilst watching TV in the lounge but I couldn't hear anything from the bedroom so there was no issue with sleep disturbance.

Good Location, right in the village centre, all local shops, pubs just metres away. Happy about private parking, very handy. Appartment was clean and met all our expectations! As extra bonus was little private back garden.
