Nice winter getaway.

A true vacation spot to escape the nasty weather back home. We spent most of March 2026 here and had everything that makes a vacation great for us. The weather was warm (and very consistent), but the constant breeze made it the perfect temperature. The room with mini kitchen allowed us to make all of our breakfast/lunches here and relax out on the deck to eat. The kitchen/living room was large enough and we could watch t.v. from the couch (we brought our own Google Chromecast so we had everything to watch like we were at home - I believe Netflix was on the tv itself, but we never used). The bathroom was good and the separate bedroom had a room a.c. which made it comfortable for sleeping. The bed itself was very nice. We stayed around the pool for half the day (until we ran out of shade). The pool was small, but more than adequate to cool off in. We hung around "The Rocks Residence" most of the time, but did venture out for dinner most nights. This part of the island is NOT touristy, so the local restuarants were used by the locals - so the prices were very reasonable. Driving to Oranjestad was around 20 minutes away if you wanted the more upscale (read pricey) restaurant experience (which we did a few times). Most of the other guests that came and went while we were there almost exclusively went to the beach everyday. We are not beach people (i.e. no internet/shade/comfortable seating), so were happy to hang around the pool. Overall. I would recommend.

− cons: the internet around the pool was spotty, so I set up my travel router in the room which connected to the rocks internet and then we connected to my router - which was way more consistent. So therefore not a real issue for us. p.s. be prepared for sticker shock at the local grocery stores - but this is not a "Rocks" issue, just a everything is imported issue.

We had a wonderful stay! The apartment was spacious enough for 2 people and has everything you need during your holiday. The location is quiet and ideal for exploring the island by car! You can also walk to the supermarket at the end of the street. The hosts are super friendly and help you with tips for tourist attractions and special local activities such as the Christmas lights tour, Carnival ... and they are also always ready to assist with practical matters such as fresh towels! We had a magical time on Aruba!

We had such a wonderful 10-day stay! Our host generously shared their lovely home — and their adorable wiener dog, Taco — which made it feel even more special. The two apartments are clean, bright, and very comfortable, and the AC worked perfectly the entire time. The lush backyard was a true highlight, offering beautiful palm trees, flowering bushes, and plenty of privacy. We enjoyed sitting on our porch almost every morning and evening, soaking in the peaceful setting. The pool was always refreshing, and we never had to share it with anyone during our stay, which made it feel like our own private oasis. We loved having access to the grill and used it to cook fresh fish a couple of nights. The hosts thoughtfully provided beach chairs, towels, coolers, and even snorkeling masks, which made our beach days so easy. With a rental car, we explored all the beautiful beaches the island has to offer. It was also so convenient to have a small grocery store just a block away for ice and anything else we needed. Overall, it was a relaxing, comfortable, and well-equipped place to stay. We would absolutely return!

It's a beautiful place, away from the swathes of tourists, but definitely close to everything. The property is quiet and verdant, and the hosts were available and friendly. Facilities were also good to cook in. Amazing overall.
