10 Snowshoe Drive Rimfire Building, Unit 312-313, Snowshoe, US
Excellent accommodations and amenities for a family of 6!
10.0The unit was amazing for a family of 6. The bunk room worked perfectly for us.
− Ceiling fan in the bedroom would have been great.
Expensive ghost town
2.0The location was great if things were open. The view was gorgeous although you couldn't see through the plexi-glass under the railing it was filthy. Beds were comfortable, bathrooms were nice. Lots of wildlife. Cass railroad nearby which was the reason we were staying in the area.
− They waited until the day before check-in to let us know the elevator was down. Too late to change our reservation without being charged. I have a bad knee, and my husband a bad back. We were on the 3rd floor. This was seasonal maintenance, so it didn't just happen, it was planned. They said to let them know if we had any concerns about this. I never got a response back from my message just automated ones hoping we were enjoying our stay and check-out instructions. My email states Allegheny Springs for check-in with Inn at Snowshoe the alternate. We went all the way up the mountain to find a sign at the front desk stating they were shut down for the season. After I could finally get enough signal to make a phone call, I was told our keys were at Inn at Snowshoe. We had to go all the way back down the mountain in the dark and then back up again. We weren't the only ones this happened to either. You couldn't find an employee anywhere to get info. I paid extra money to be near all the shops and restaurants to get a preview for future trips. Only a few businesses were open the day we checked in and they were closing the day we checked out. We checked the websites and most of the businesses still had hours listed. Only a few stated they were closed. I could've stayed down the mountain for a few hundred dollars less but wanted to experience Snowshoe Village. We got an expensive ghost town.
