8.0Lovely lodge with really amazing decor and the quiet natural setting next to the river. Good breakfast and dinner included. The staff was very attentive and looked after us well. No loadshedding due to the lodge being off the grid.
− The view of the river from our chalet was mostly obscured by an overgrown bush. The Spa was not available due to restoration. The long tortureous road to and from the lodge prevented any day excursions. No options on the menu so you basically have to eat what is provided but the food provided was very good.

8.0What a beautiful experience we had. From the management to the staff, they pay extra attention and really go an extra mile for their guests. When we arrived after lunch they made sure we had some food delivered in our chalet, which was very nice. Thanks Jo. Also a Huge shout out to Qiniso Mngadi, first person we met when we arrived immediately we felt the warmth and knew we were in for a treat. We were really spoilt rotten the entire weekend, the food was amazing, housekeeping on the money. We also had a picnic on Saturday, beautiful set up with amazing views. You have to be there to experience it for yourself
− When booking we were not made aware that the Spa was not operational, which was a huge disappointment. Also there is a set menu so you basically get what is provided. Yes they do ask about dietary requirements after booking which is highly appreciated but personally I would have loved to have atleast 2 options. Also a tea/coffee set up would be nice in the chalets, but that was not a deal breaker coz there's a set up in the common area which was pleasant.
