The View That Could

Great views, clean space and real cosy vibes. LOVED the balcony and the owners were lovely, everything felt really personable and we felt well taken care of. There was SO much to make the place cozy, there was a kids space and candles and incense. It was clearly made by a family for a family and we really did feel at home 😊

− The area was not what we were expecting, the actual stay room was amazing but the surrounding area was surprisingly run down. It's certainly a cheaper area of Athens but this kinda worked in our favour because we found incredible food spots with fewer tourists and cheaper prices 😎 Also, the bathroom is tiny - opening the door hits the sink. The owners did well with the space but even something simple like having a holder for the shower head be at an appropriate height (and not just for bathing whilst sitting) would've been very welcome. All in all, really nice!

Die Wohnung war sehr sauber und die Aussicht ist atemberaubend. Wenn ich jemals nach Athen zurückkehre, würde ich sie definitiv wieder buchen!

Beautiful and cozy apartment with elevator(we stayed in the one on 4th floor), nice design, good location (everywhere we went was only 10-20min walk), clean and the air conditioning worked very well. Very nice host always available for any questions.

Filthy, Poor Communication and not much of a view to speak of.

The only good thing was the location was somewhat central. But a view of the acropolis is poor. One side is blocked by a building and the other is on a tiny balcony not wide enough to stand on. The air con worked nicely at least.

− Where do I begin? Firstly the communication was poor. Check in was at 3 and I messaged at 2:30 to let the host know we were on our way - No reply. No big deal I decided to wait until 3 in the beautiful Greek 35 degree heat. Still nothing. I then called - No reply. My partner called - No reply. After around the 4th or 5th attempt we got through and were told instructions to the key safe would be sent. This never happened. My partner rang again and over the phone we got the code to eventually get out of the heat. When we finally got into the studio apartment we were greeted by a strange smell. We put our bags down and took our shoes off and as we walked along the floor we could see the soles of our feet/socks turn legitimately black. We then tried to freshen up in the bathroom but the sink was dusty with dirty taps. We flicked the light on and it suddenly started crackling and buzzing so there are some electical issues there. The shower is just a shower head over a bath with nowhere to actually hang it and water that comes out cold. Not the biggest deal considering the heat, but still uncomfortable. We then decided to get out and just try to enjoy the city and only returned when it was time to sleep. The bed wasn't great and we didn't have enough pillows- there was one spare to make 3 in total between the two of us so I ended up using couch cushions as the pillows were thin and you needed more than one. We oginally planned to stay for 2 nights but after the first night we couldn't bear another night in there so changed our tickets to leave early. We contacted the host that we were leaving early so they could give us the code to put his keys back (as he had never actually sent the information) but he never replied. We were running out of time as we had a taxi waiting so tried to call him. We explained several times that we just needed the code as we were late and couldn't get into the key safe to leave the keys.
