The location was great. Most of Our family lived within 15 minutes of the house. Unfortunately, we split up on night 2 and 3 and completely left the last night due to the foul odor, extreme heat upstairs and the cold downstairs.

− The first impression left us with an aweful smell. The house smells like cat urine and a house that have been closed for many years. The overall house was clean, HOWEVER, the carpet on the stairs and the lower level was dirty. My grandchildren have been taught to always remove their shoes when they enter a person's home. On the first day/night, they hung out in the lower level that was carpeted and after several hours, their white socks were filthy. We attempted to use the pool, however, the mosquitos were simply unbareable and due to the storm there was debris in the pool. Booking.com's remedy was for one of us to clean the pool because their pool cleaner had cleaned the pool a day earlier. The upstairs was extremely hot even with the window air conditioning running constantly and the lower level was extremely cold even when you turned the thermostat up to 75. The beds were a little hard, the towels were new and the linen and bed spreads were sooooo thin. I was disappointed that the check in instructions were sent just a few hours prior to checking in and the checkout was just before checkout. I've never been told to clean the dishes and take out the trash upon leaving especially given the cost of the stay. The smell and temperature actually drove us to split our family up amongst 3 family member's homes for night 2 and 3 and to totally leave a day early. The house really needs updating. Its old and smells bad!! All but one bathroom had dangerous slippery tubs with no hand rails making it very very unsafe for seniors such as myself and anyone. The doors were unsafe on the tubs. There were no floor rugs for the tubs and shower. If you wre not careful getting in or out you would hurt yourself. The ironing board had no cover so I had to buy one. We were annoyed that the furniture was covered in plastic. If the owner is that worried about the furniture, they should use washable slip covers.
