− It was absolutely disgraceful. We arrived at 7pm and could not access the property. They gave us a code which didn't work. Now we know why it didn't work. The hosts had double booked it. Upon reading previous reviews, it isn't an uncommon thing for them to do. There was already someone in the house when we arrived. We had advised the hosts of our arrival time and at no stage did they advise us of that someone was already in the house. In no way, was the double booking an oversight. They had another property that they wanted to put us into which we refused. They promised us an immediate refund but then didn't do anything about it. I had to contact Booking.Com to get it arranged with ZERO co-operation from the hosts. Booking.Com were excellent in their response.

Large size. Location was fine.

− Welcome message sent to us saying don't hesitate to contact if we needed anything but when we messaged and called for a set of sheets and a blanket for 9th person to sleep on couch we got no response. Did however get a message about all the check out requirements in the morning, the day before we were due to check out. Requiring us to put garbage in garage but no way to enter garage as it was locked. Had to wipe oven before using and wash glasses and bakeware as glasses were dusty and bakeware had baked/dried on food on it. We were nine people and only 8 towels. Not impressed and would not recommend.

− Hosts were unresponsive to messages. Booking.com and/or Host double booked part of our stay so we were forced to find other accommodation at last minute.

− There was no bedding on the room with the 2 beds. My employee didn't say anything to me until morning and he slept with no blankets.

The house was spacious and the kitchen was very functional.

− The furniture was pretty, very uncomfortable, dining chairs missing screws, couch dirty with dog hair, and stools had dirt stains on them. My daughter opened her bed and there were red stains on the sheets and a couple of hairs under pillow. Upon entry to the master bedroom, there was no electricity there and in the bathroom. We notified the owner on the emergency line after waiting for almost 1 hour on the regular number. He finally replied asking more details. I never heard back from him that day!!! Then I still didn't hear back and sent a message over booking. He responded eventually the next day at approximately 10 am. He told me he had an electrician coming at 12 pm. He never came. Only the owner came for about 5 minutes. And he was late. We had to change our family plans because we had to be there for someone to come. Then he called me and made some excuse and now he was coming at 7 am on the Sunday. I got up early and the guy (who wasn't professionally dressed) and nothing to identify him, came past 8 am with no explanation. I expressed my concern to the owner. I had also sent several messages to the owner to put salt down outside due to extreme icy conditions the last couple of days. My daughter who is pregnant slipped twice but was held up by her husband and her dad. My messages were ignored for 2 days; until I got his reply that all stores were out of salt. I am sure he had some at his house...I suggested sand and dirt then. Anything to help, and nothing from him. In fact I went in to a couple of stores and there were in fact lots of salt choices around. By that time it was a little better on the day before we left. By the way I asked a question 3 times via booking about my little dogs coming and my question was ignored for almost 3 months! The listing originally said, pets stay at no extra charge and now that changed. He wanted to charge me extra and I held my ground. Booking personnel said that original listing was what I had said.
