Lovely stay in Ta Van, big and comfortable room, great breakfast and helpful staff.
10.0The garden was beautiful, the room was large, the bed comfortable and had a balcony. The girl who worked at reception was very helpful and friendly. She also made lovely pancakes for breakfast (which was included with the room)! We liked being in Ta Van which was a cute village away from the madness of Sapa.
− The shared bathroom was outside and a bit far from the room. The hot water would also run out quite quickly in the evening.
Superb
9.0Nice location, quiet, heating in winter.
Exceptional
10.0Cannot recommend this place enough the home cooked bbq was absolutely next level
Great place and great people.
10.0Very beautiful location up in the mountains, peaceful and relaxing. The owner and staff were incredibly nice and helpful, absolutely worth a visit.
The houses overlook rice terraces.
10.0The food served by the restaurant at the hotel is delicious. Hang is most helpful and gives good advice. She is attentive and carried our luggages.
Disappointing and misleading room pictures
6.0Bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The Electric blanket was needed and appreciated. The host was friendly.
− We were disappointed with our stay here. The location on google maps is completely off, it’s floating in the middle of nowhere and not connected to a road on maps so we drove around the town in the dark and cold for over an hour in circles trying to find it. At one stage we were brought down a tiny and bumpy lane in our scooter to just meet a dead end and have to head back and had to pass major roadworks and machinery several times on a tiny road not knowing where we were going. We tried to WhatsApp the host but got no answer so had to figure it out ourselves and they didn’t ask whether we could find it when we arrived much later than we said. There are no signs for it from the main road and the lane up to the property is steep and extremely bumpy. If you are saying here, navigate to piroon or Deja by coffee When we got here the room was half the size and completely different to the one pictured. The shared bathroom is downstairs and outside the main house and freezing as it has no window. A large frog jumped on the back of my leg when I went in during the evening. The sink isn’t connected to a pipe so the water flows down the drains and out the back of the sink, all over the floor. There was no hot water for washing my face in the nighttime. It felt more like campings and I think the price is very high for what you receive. It’s also a large wooden house so there’s zero sound isolation to the other rooms, I could hear the conversations and even yawning of people next door. We were also woken up early by roosters, dogs howling and construction nearby with music playing. Since there’s no bed frame and just a mattress on the floor, the shakes and vibrations of the house with people stomping around go right through you. The next day after breakfast there was a photoshoot in the lobby with a family, the photographers (yes plural) kept walking around us to get things and it made us feel completely in the way, despite being guests there.
