A great suite in an average building

This a very modern suite with fantastic views across the city both by day and by night. The suite is bright and spacious and has 2 bedrooms and two bathrooms and a small kitchen area. The only cooker is a portable hotplate that sits on the counter top and a microwave for warming food. The bathrooms have modern showers and there are towels and soap and shampoo provided. The pictures are a very accurate reflection of the accommodation. There is a very well equipped gymnasium with a range of resistence machines, aerobic machines and free weights. There is also a small running track, a football/basketball cage, a small climbing wall and an outdoor training area. One of the highlights is the infinity pool which is clean, has plenty of sun longers and during our stay was never over crowded.

− Although the building is only 3 or 4 years old it feels unfinished. During our entire stay the infintiy pool was the only one of several pools open due to the ceiling collapsing in. The scaffolding around it looked like it had been there forever. There are numerous pockets of building work going on and a huge overflowing skip right outside the entrance foyer and building noise most of the day. During a rain storm the entire corridoor flooded up to the apartment door and a large puddle remained the next day. The suite has two wardrobes but both are locked to guests; therefore, apart from a few coat hangars on some hooks there is nowhere to hang any clothes or unpack bags, so you live out of your bag for the week. Like many Malaysians the host requires a 300 MYR deposit in cash upon check in but he will only return it by international bank transfer. In order to do that you will need to provide your full account details, your email address, your home address and postcode. I was not particularly comfortable doing this but had not choise in order to get my deposit back. I personally didn't like being sent a list of 'house rules' at 9.00pm the night before check in which included "no stir-frying/grilling or any heavy cooking invovling oil useage"......"No stain left on the white linens", nor did I like being sent guidance on how to write a review after check out........!
