Lovely views from property. Beautiful communal garden area with walks leading to a riverside pub or through a great nature area.

− Access roads were not great .Access to the property itself needs signposting. Some aspects needed updating and tidying up ( seating area outside the door / main door needs painting , kitchen units ) Shower was hopeless - water pressure issues? Loo seat needs fixing . Second bedroom was very small with nowhere to put personal items - no room for a bedside table .

A quiet & picturesque area. The garage was a big plus as it kept the car cool in the extremely hot weather.

− Very difficult to get too down an extremely narrow lane. Also the entrance is a first floor level meaning everything had to be carried up concrete steps.

Great location to explore the Forest of Dean and Wye Valley and there was always parking available. The bed was comfortable and it's a peaceful area so we slept well.

− Poor communication from owner, doesn't reply to messages and no advance check in information provided. Theres no phone signal at the property so we were standing around outside not knowing what to do until my partner finally got one bar and could call the owner, who thankfully phoned back quickly. Facilities were okay but no towels provided (which we didn't know in advance due to no check in info) and we had to buy our own loo roll and hand soap as there wasnt enough there already. The shower works well itself but has a poor design as there's a ledge underneath it, so you have to limbo backwards slightly to wash your hair. We went to make mash potatoes one night but there was no masher and the baking trays were old and peeling. All small issues but a little annoying when they add up. We don't mind taking rubbish out but weve never been asked to strip the beds ourselves anywhere we've stayed before. 10am check out felt a bit early, 11am would be better.

Clean and comfortable accommodation with everything we needed. Right by the river walk trail and ferrie to cross the river. 10 min walk to riverside pub
