Staff at reception were friendly & welcoming. Apartment was clean & neat.

Overpriced, dirty, outdated and neglected unit

The unit is centrally located within the estate. The linen is great quality.

− This unit is very old and poorly maintained. Basic fittings such as switches and plug points are outdated and unsafe. While charging a cellphone in the main bedroom, a lamp cord sparked and exploded in my wife’s hand, damaging our charger. Upon closer inspection, several plugs had exposed wiring and every time we used an outlet there were visible surges. This is a serious safety concern. Cleanliness was equally unacceptable. The bathroom had a stained, unhygienic bath mat and an old, worn plastic cup. The taps are outdated and clearly need replacing. The kitchen was inadequately equipped, with minimal cutlery, blunt knives and worn, shabby utensil holders and placemats. Outside, the table had a plastic tablecloth covered in stains of various colours all over. This was absolutely disgusting and off-putting. The stovetop is chipped and in need of replacement, the kettle leaks and the couch was extremely uncomfortable and uneven. Considering the price per night, this accommodation offers very poor value for money. We could have stayed in a far better, well-maintained hotel. Instead, this unit felt overpriced, dirty, outdated and neglected.

Good enough but needs some changes

We enjoyed that there was a garden and braai facilities. We were happy there was a bath and shower option. Variety of kids friendly TV packages. Good cupboard space. Grocery cupboard was super. Aircons. Enough crockery. Oven and microwave.

− The couch is very uncomfortable. Broken kettle that leaks everywhere. The bed in the master room is extremely uncomfortable, with a mound in the middle and the slopes off to the sides. We were booked in friday to Monday. Our room was serviced on Saturday morning and then not again. Dishwasher tablets and sunlight liquid ran out so we had to getvour own and toilet paper ran out. Curtains in second room are coming apart. Glass dining table in lounge is not a suitable option with kids. No steak knives or pairing knives for cutting salad items. Sharp knives are blunt and kitchen scissors are broken. 1 small cutting board.

− The villa is very poorly maintained. 😒The stove didn't work very well. The oven did not get hot, just warm and falling apart around the plates. I tried to warm up a casserole in the oven, it was a waste of time. No vegetable rack to be found. The sunlight liquid was diluted. No carpets/mats anywhere. No bathmat in the bathroom. Very old lounge suite and totally uncomfortable. the back rests are buckled and have presumably never straightened back into shape. Staff didn't arrive at all on Saturday to clean the villa. I can honestly say this unit had the bare minimum of everything. A few little plastic pots of greenery on the walls does not make up for comfort. very sad as We have been coming to San Lameer for many years and this one was very shabby. Although booked for 3 nights, we vacated after 2 nights.
