Large Comfy Beds

− Extremely unhygienic, smells of damp, basics missing, and issues were not resolved at all This property was shockingly dirty and unhygienic throughout with a musty damp smell throughout. The worn, uncomfortable orange sofa had large stains down the sides, and the floors were so filthy they were black – walking around left your feet covered in dirt. The kettle was revolting, heavily calcified with what looked like mould inside, completely unfit for use. There are critical basics missing: there is no microwave, making it impossible to heat simple meals. When I raised this, the owner stated there has never been a microwave here in the 6 years they’ve managed the property, and refused to provide one. They also confirmed there has never been a lock on the bathroom door – staying with friends, this felt very awkward and offered absolutely no privacy also the extractor fan in the bathroom does not work. The bedroom window also only looks straight at a brick wall, like a view into a cell block. The owner did send a cleaner to "fix" the issues, but the work was completely ineffective: steam cleaning the sofa made no difference to the stains at all, and trying to decalcify the kettle also had zero effect – it was still just as dirty and unusable afterwards. The only positives are the comfortable beds and the view from the front window. I cannot recommend staying here at all.

Lovely clean & modern flat just right for our needs

A clean and modern flat. Lovely view and peaceful. It was an easy walk along the coast to the hustle and bustle of Margate main centre. Easy to find parking too. A good size for our family of 4. There wasn't a microwave but we reheated our leftover takeaway in the oven instead! Good communication from the host. There's a playground nearby which we didnt go in but another option if the kids are beached out!
