It's such a cute and cosy set up. Owner is very nice, mostly leaves you to your own devices, which I really appreciate. Also, the recommendations for places to eat at are spot on!! Especially the Italian place, food absolutely delicious. Everything you might need It's there. Beautiful bathroom, the toiletries smell amazing!! The area is absolutely stunning, I always wanted to come here, especially the puzzlewood and I was not disappointed!!!

− The only downside is problem with reception (not downside to the lodge). It's all area really, so makes it awkward at the times to find your way as maps keeps disconnecting. That wouldn't stop me from coming here again though!

Host was very amenable, as we were forced to change our arrival day and was always contactable and extremely concerned and very helpful. On arrival all clean and well presented and it became apparent how the occommodation was very central to all the attractions and amazing views near by. Artisan bakery and lovely restaurant called Amici ( Italian) which was in Coleford village spot on! Driving around the area the scenery was stunning. We enjoyed eating at Sarecens Inn at symonds yat after cycling from the car park along side the River Wye! BEAUTIFUL! Also bed was so comfy. X

The PERFECT Place To Go Off Grid

The host Maria was outstanding. Such a friendly, helpful host who couldn't do more to help. She truly is wonderful! The Summerhouse was clean, well stocked with hot drinks, biscuits, cereal, shampoo, soap and more. The bathroom was modern whilst boho and spacious with a wonderful shower. The mattress on the bed was comfortable with plenty of fluffy soft blankets and pillows. There was a wall mounted TV at the end of the bed. There is also a fan, air conditioning unit and a portable heater. This will enable perfect room temperature year round. Brilliant! Wonderful nearby restaurants and cafes. Maria provides so much information in her Welcome Pack. It's really helpful! Finally, the location was simply sublime! No other words are needed! Thank you so much for a wonderful stay Maria, me and my husband both highly recommend staying here.

− My only small criticism (if I was being picky) was the towels aren't fluffy/new looking. If you want that, bring your own. Another small criticism (again, if I was being picky) is the main pillows are a little flat/used. That being said, it was still very comfortable! It was noted in the property details that there's no WiFi so, like Maria already states, if you need this then this might not be the place for you! As for mobile data usage, I got 1 bar of 3G signal with o2 network.
