Be warned, do not walk out of the house and close the door or you will end up locked out of the home
1.0− We got to the home at 6pm on a Monday evening. We put the dogs inside the house and I went back to the car to collect our luggage. My wife then came out to help and closed the door not realising that the door handle is disengaged, closing the door from the outside locks it and requires the key to open it. Unfortunately we were now locked out and our dogs were inside of the house. We contacted the host (Megan) who said that her cleaner was closer than she was so she would contact her to see if she could get there more quickly. After around 30 mins Megan phoned back saying that the cleaner had an emergency and could not attend the house so she had phoned a locksmith who should be with us in 20 minutes. We waited for almost an hour and a half before ringing Megan back to find out what was happening. She said she would ring us back after speaking with the locksmith. After another half hour she phoned back to say he was on his way and would be about 20 minutes. After a further hour we phoned her back again as no-one had turned up. She phoned the locksmith then phoned us back saying he was on his way and would be 20 minutes. After a further 40 minutes I got a text saying the locksmith was outside of the front door. He was not. Megan attended with the key, only to find it was the wrong key and she then had to phone a locksmith. Megan said that she had locked herself out of this property 3 times. She said because of the messing about she would pay for the Locksmith. When I sent Megan the bill for the locksmith she just ignored me (4 times) she never had any intention of paying she lied to try to sound good. whilst it is not her fault that we locked ourselves out the door lock needs changing so that this does not happen. We will never stay in a Luxekeystays home again, We were locked out of the house with our dogs inside for 4 and a half hours.
