A beautiful place to rest up and escape the noisy chaos of Berastagi
9.0The hostess (I don’t know how to spell her name) was so kind and helpful; she organised the sunrise hike for me and the shred car down to Lake Toba. The pancakes that I had for breakfast with homemade jam were probably the best pancakes I’ve ever had. The gardens are so pretty. The shower is hot and strong!
− The only thing that I found difficult was the strong smell of cheap cleaning fluids or maybe camphor. I opened the windows but i jad to close them at night because of the wind and the smell remained. One tip - NOT a criticism - if you’re a solo traveller, book the sunrise hike up Mt Sabayak online or in town as you will be charged much more for not being part of a group.

10.0Schönes, helles Zimmer mit eigener Terrasse und warmes Wasser in der Dusche. Familiäre Atmosphäre. Sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Wirtin, die sehr gutes Frühstück macht. Sie hat uns auch Tiko vermittelt, ein super Guide und Fahrer, der auch gut Englisch spricht. Ruhige Lage (wir haben es genossen nicht mitten im Trubel zu sein), aber nur 20min zu Fuss bis zum Zentrum.

10.0We loved the open air feeling of our room, surrounded by glass with views of Gy and Stephan's trees, flowering bushes and coffee plants. The extra treat is the outside patio that was just for us. The room is "no frills" but clean and comfortable. Location is great. It's in a nice little neighborhood away from the madness of the center of the city but walking distance to it. Gy arranged our driver, Tiko, to take us to the Mount Sibayak trailhead and hot springs. The next day, he took us to Taman Alam Lumbini. And then the next day, he drove us to Bukit Lawang. He's awesome! We highly recommend him. All in all, a great value.
− Maybe provide bar soap in the bathroom to wash hands and shower. Would've loved an electric kettle to make coffee and sit on our balcony.
