The accommodation was comfortable, clean and very spacious. The stable was decorated beautifully and we felt so at home. Not to mention the lovely little courtyard with seating and lovely blooming flowers The location was ideal. Not to far away from anything and there were so many different places to explore. We immensely enjoyed the walks that were recommended to us! And we explored a little ourselves! We especially liked saying hello to all the lovely free roaming animals. Last but not least, our hosts were wonderful, from the moment we arrived they were so welcoming, helpful and informative. Its been the best short trip we have been on a long time and we hope to book again soon!!!!

Everything was wonderful

A beautifully equipped stay in a perfect New Forest location, with thoughtful touches for families, and magical moments

10.0

This place is gorgeous and well equipped, in a perfect location. A very short walk to a lovely pub and viewing spot for the New Forest. Upon arrival we were greeted by the friendly Steve who gave us great advice and recommendations. It was a lovely touch that they had provided a breakfast basket. We stayed with our one year old and the cot was ready for us with a baby towel and small rubber duck for our daughter to play with. Everything is so carefully thought of and planned. We adored our stay.

We absolutely loved our stay. So the only thing we can really say here is that the TV was quite slow. Although there is a dishwasher, the place would benefit from a silicon drying mat for the washing up, in my experience. Neither of these things made for a poor experience at all.

Way too expensive for what you get — uncomfortable, isolated, and handled poorly by the owners.

2.0

It was very quiet and the breakfast basket was quite nice for our first night. U get a big living room but ur bed is in it.

We really wouldn’t recommend this place, especially for young couples, tall people, or anyone who isn’t local. The location is extremely isolated — there’s no public transport nearby, no proper grocery stores, and only one pub, which we couldn’t even eat at for the first two days. A taxi to Southampton or anywhere else is incredibly expensive, so once you’re there, you’re basically stuck. The house itself is not comfortable at all. It’s definitely not made for tall people — you bump your head on everything. The bed is terrible, it literally feels like it’s breaking your back every night. The toilet doesn’t flush properly, and the shower floods the bathroom floor every time you use it. There also aren’t enough towels, which makes it even more inconvenient. On top of that, the cleanliness wasn’t good. We had to kill four spiders right after arriving, and there were lots of mosquitoes inside, which made it really hard to relax or sleep. Then we had a very unpleasant experience with the owners after a misunderstanding about our friends visiting. It was never a party — just a few friends coming by for a short visit — but the way it was handled was way over the top. We were threatened with talk about the police and “records,” which felt unnecessary and uncomfortable. We apologised multiple times and explained it was a misunderstanding, but still felt completely unwelcome afterwards. And honestly, for the price you pay, it’s just not worth it at all. The comfort, location, and atmosphere don’t match what you’d expect for the cost. Like I said, this place might be fine for one quiet night if you’re just passing through, but for a longer stay — especially if you’re a young couple, tall, or not from the area — it’s really not worth the money or the stress.

Perfect weekend getaway.

10.0

The location in the New Forest is perfect for a tranquil getaway. The cottage was beautifully styled and comfortable. The breakfast basket with the fresh bread and eggs were a wonderful touch. The host was also kind enough to show us around their farm and give us a few tips on areas to visit. We really enjoyed our stay and will be back.
