− Slight lack of things to cook with. There was no baking trays for the oven, and there was no big frying pan. This is a shame when you book the breakfast hamper and then struggle to cook everything.

A Truly Special Stay at Otium Wine Estate We had the absolute pleasure of staying at Otium Wine Estate during the final stages of our house sale and onward purchase — a time that could have been stressful, but instead became a period of peace and tranquility thanks to this stunning retreat. Our accommodation, Hawkes Ledge, was nothing short of exquisite — beautifully decorated, immaculately clean, and exceptionally well-equipped for both short and extended stays. The attention to detail was evident in every corner, making it feel like a true home away from home. Andrew and Emily, our wonderful hosts, were warm, welcoming, and incredibly accommodating. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and their thoughtful touches made our stay even more memorable.

Absolutely beautiful and super relaxing rural retreat

Hawks Ledge was a beautiful little retreat and perfect for a few nights away. The space is generous and great for a couple. The full kitchen is very high spec, and you could easily cook a meal here (as it was, we only had breakfast in). Tea and coffee are provided, as well as small bottles of milk in the fridge. There are TWO balconies (one upstairs and one downstairs), both with very comfortable furniture for sitting outside. The bed was very comfortable - king sized and good-quality mattress. Bathroom was lovely - very clean and the shower was delightful (great pressure and the water heated up quickly). The bathtub under the skylight at the foot of the bed was a real treat and made this place feel very special. Hawks Ledge at Otium Wine Estate is quite isolated, which was exactly what we were looking for, but just something to be aware of. We really appreciated the hosts' recommendations for local pubs, restaurants, and taxis. They were also great at answering our questions before we booked. We are already looking to come back!

Very nice location. Nice living space. Spiral staircase may be difficult for some folk.
