A poorly managed property with major check-in failures and substandard maintenance.

The location was acceptable and relatively quiet.

− The overall experience was highly disappointing and fell well below acceptable standards. The check-in process was extremely poorly managed. Upon arrival, we were unable to access the property due to a faulty lock. Despite multiple attempts and instructions provided, the issue could not be resolved. We were then required to travel to collect alternative keys, which also failed to work. The situation was only resolved after a locksmith attended and replaced the lock, resulting in a delay of several hours before we were able to enter the property. This level of disruption is unacceptable, particularly given the lack of effective communication and coordination from the host/agent. In addition, the property itself did not meet expectations in terms of cleanliness and maintenance. The indoor environment felt stale, and the overall presentation suggested inadequate preparation for guests. Overall, this experience reflects a serious lack of quality control, organisation, and basic guest readiness.

Excellent location for dark skies and beach

Excellent location for quiet beach. Dark night skies for astronomy and big back yard. The value for money is excellent and the place sleeps up to 8 people with lots of space!

− I did not like having to pay (and collect keys) as a seperate step through O'Brien realestate. They sent me three different web forms to fill in, and I also had to provide scans of IDs. Doing it all through booking.com! Pet instructions on booking.com are unclear. There, it says 'pet friendly' but when you get there it says 'dogs outside only'. Beware if you have dogs used to being inside at night. I'd recommend clarifying the rules here, to me 'pet friendly' means well behaved pets should be allowed inside.
