Lodge was spotless, warm and very sound proofed against the elements. Surprisingly spacious and really cosy.

− Nothing! The only issues we had were dealt immediately by staff who were incredibly helpful.

Great spot. Very peaceful.

− Great facilities and beautiful place to stay. Would recommend shower slip mats for inside the shower, and then towel mats be provided when getting out of the shower to avoid slips/accidents.

The location is great, lovely views, and very good to be able to park right outside.

− The facilities were very disappointing. 1) The accommodation has been kitted out with the absolute bare minimum. For example, there are no bins in the bathrooms. Only one single bin in the entire property, which is in the kitchen. 2) The beds are the worst beds I have ever slept on. I have slept on better camp beds. I was staying in the second bedroom and the bed was so wobbly that it was making me feel nauseous. I did contact the hosts to ask if something could be done. They advised someone would visit to take a look, which they never did. Instead I was forced to sleep on the floor for the remainder of the stay. 3) The noise. If the lodge next to you is empty, you will love your stay. If, like us, you have neighbours, then you will hear every single footstep. I think there is some issue with the flooring in the lodge next door, which is causing the loud noise. Be prepared for that, you can hear it over the TV. 4) The wifi. I did a speed test and the wifi was 6mbps. This was not adequate for us to be able to work. I had to purchase my own 4g router and sim card to be able to be connected during this trip. When I purchased my own 4g wifi I was getting 32mbps, so it was not a signal error. Unfortunately again the property fell well below expectations. I do not like to write negative reviews about a property. Which is why I contacted the hosts first to try and resolve any issue. As my issue was not resolved, and I had an uncomfortable stay, I am writing a full review so future visitors can be prepared. I did not expect to have no suitable bed and to have to purchase my own wifi.
