10.0We liked everything! This was probably the best place we have ever stayed in Japan! Ian was super friendly and even took us from and to the train station. The house and the garden were beautiful. The house itself is fully equipped with air conditioned rooms and comfortable beds. Furthermore, the location is incredibly close to the major shrines.

9.0The host Ian was extremely helpful in all respects and very kindly met us at the train station and then took us to the supermarket almost opposite - and waited until we had purchased what we needed - and then drove us to the house which made it so much easier on arrival.

Peaceful family retreat in Nikkō.
10.0This property is so incredibly tranquil! Very roomy and comfortable! The house was perfect for our multi-generational group, with one bedroom and bath on the ground floor, and the location was perfect for in-depth exploration of the world heritage sites. Ian is such a welcoming host! From arranging transportation and helping with dinner reservations, to giving recommendations on what to do with the time we had, he made our 2-night stay wonderful! Highly recommend!

10.0The place is phenomenal - located just a few minutes’ walk from Nikko Toshogu shrine and offers a peaceful stay in a beautiful setting. The house is spotless and has everything you might need. The host Ian is amazing, picked us up at the train station and dropped us back on our departure day. I truly wish we stayed there 1-2 night longer just to properly appreciate the peace and quiet around. Will certainly come back. Thanks Ian!!
