A lovely stay at this sweet B&B in the heart of Tropea

Although it is a small B&B situated on the ground floor of another larger hotel, Cuore Di Tropea was an excellent choice for the few days my friends and I enjoyed in Tropea. The rooms were very clean and charming, with full amenities including all toiletries, towels, minibar, kettle, AC, modern furniture, open shelving, clothes hangers, and comfortable beds and pillows. Two of our three rooms led out into a lovely common courtyard with tables and chairs. The third room I was sharing with 2 other friends only had a narrow balcony, but we still had a clip-on clothes airer with pegs, which came in handy for hanging our beach stuff and towels to dry outside. Breakfast was offered at the nearby Bar Veneto with outdoor tables in a lovely square opposite the hotel. This included 1 large croissant (with a choice of different tasty fillings) and 2 drinks, which we could select from coffee, various juices (even freshly squeezed), or water. The staff at the hotel are extremely efficient and friendly. Prior to our visit, my communications with them were always answered promptly, and they were extremely helpful and supportive with all our check-in requirements and throughout our stay. Although the Reception Desk is not manned 24/7, we communicated daily with them via WhatsApp, and they were very quick to fulfill all our requests for cleaning, fresh towels, and any other needs that cropped up. The hotel’s location in the Old Town is also excellent, leading straight out into the main Corso Vittorio Emmanuele or to the left into Via Umberto, with its many shops, leading up to Piazza Cannone. Vehicles are allowed access just outside, which came in handy when we did not feel like walking up the stairs from the beach and took a taxi back to the hotel. All in all, our stay at Cuore di Tropea B&B was a memorable one, and we highly recommend this place for a homely but well-equipped stay!

− Just one helpful suggestion: 2 or 3 large towel hooks in the bathroom would have come in handy to hang our bathroom towels, especially since we did not always need to change them every day. Otherwise, we were very satisfied with our choice of accommodation!
