Basic accommodation, but nicely done.
7.0We liked the location, and the excellent art on the walls! It was very quiet at night. Decent shower head, which is always important.
− The kitchen needs a little work: the burners on the hotplate/stovetop weren't working properly. The bedroom section didn't receive the A/C as well as it could have (we were there when it was very hot outside!) The bed was too hard for me, but others may find it perfect. Steep stairs!
Great value for Rose Parade

7.0Living room/TV room area, bathroom, kitchen, strong Wi-fi. Close proximity to Ralph's and a couple of restaurants.
− Not the softest bed mattress I've experienced, but I slept just fine for both nights. Initially confused as to where the apartment was (if the listing included a photo of the dentist office house, it would've been easier.) No bars open after 10 p.m. that were within walking distance.
Next time I'd prefer to stay somewhere else.
5.0The location was good, seemed like a safe area and within walking distance of restaurants.
− The bed and pillow are extremely uncomfortable. The bathroom sink sprays water on the floor.
It was a nice enough place that we actually felt some nostalgia on leaving. I would call that a pretty good comment.
10.0The place was "cozy" meaning small (approximately 400 ft.² or 40 m² is my guess) but well appointed. The bathroom is really nice - fully tiled, with a heated, lighted mirror and a heated toilet seat. The kitchen has all required utensils and even has a very nice set of colorful matching dishes, not the usual motley collection that looks like it comes from a flea market like you see in so many short term rentals. The proprietor was very responsive to our needs and comments.
− For Canadians, we find American rentals eye-wateringly expensive, but that's LA.
