− am writing this review to warn future travelers about the rigid and opportunistic business practices of Grand Champions Resort. While their communication is "polite," their actions are anything but. We had a stay scheduled from March 14 to 19, 2026. Shortly before our arrival, the resort contacted us to admit a "computer mistake"—the unit we had actually paid for was unavailable. They asked for our flexibility, requesting that we move units mid-stay. Despite having a non-refundable contract, we acted in good faith and agreed to this inconvenience to help them rectify their error. Unfortunately, our trip was derailed by a natural disaster. Delta Airlines, recognizing the severity of the situation, immediately issued a full refund for our non-refundable tickets. Grand Champions, however, chose a different path. Despite the fact that we were physically unable to reach the island due to a catastrophic event beyond anyone's control, the resort refused to offer a refund or even a partial credit. What followed was a truly surreal and insulting experience: • They ignored the reality of the disaster and our cancellation request. • They sent automated "welcome" messages to my family while we were stranded at home. • They sent "concierge" offers for island activities we clearly could not attend. • They sent a "goodbye" message on our scheduled departure date as if we had been there. To be treated like a revenue stream rather than a guest—especially after we were willing to accommodate their booking error—is deeply disappointing. They were quick to ask for grace when their computers failed, but offered none when a natural disaster struck. If you value a resort that operates with integrity or basic human empathy during emergencies, I suggest you look elsewhere. At Grand Champions, "non-refundable" applies to the guest's money, but "guaranteed booking" apparently doesn't apply to their rooms.

10.0Beautiful, quiet property. Great location with easy access to shops and beaches. Condo was spacious and clean. Had everything we needed. Loved our time here and can't wait to return.
Guests under the age of 25 can only check in with a parent or official guardian.
