Door code worked really well and much easier than having a key, location really handy for Kailua-Kona and shops. Nice welcome gift and quiet complex of condo's. Honokohau Beach nearby is unmissable for culture and sea turtle paradise. Also Kahalu'a beach where you can snorkel with turtles

− No TV remote and I messaged the hosts but didn't hear back. It was not a big deal.

Die Gastgeber sind sehr zuverlässig und freundlich, die Unterkunft war sehr sauber, die Ausstattung war super, es hat nichts gefehlt. Moderne Einrichtung, nur der Balkon war nicht einladend aber das lag eher am Wohnhaus. Die Küche war extrem gut ausgestattet, sowas gibt es selten in privaten Unterkünften. Die Lage war auch top, sehr zentral zur Stadt gelegen. Strände sind mit dem Auto gut erreichbar

− Jetzt kommt leider ein großes aber. Das Bett war für zwei Personen viel zu klein. Man spürt auf der Matratze jede Bewegung des anderen . In der Unterkunft gibt es ein Schlafsofa, dass wir nutzen mussten. Aber wer will im Urlaub schon getrennt schlafen und dann noch auf einem Sofa. Leider konnten wir keine Nacht durchschlafen, man hört alles von oben, jeden Tritt sogar die Schritte vom Hund. Der Fernseher wurde so laut gestellt das man jedes einzelne Wort gehört hat bis in die Nacht.Nebendran gibt es mehrere Firmen die Lkws kommen zwischen 4-6 uhr. Generell war die Wohnung zu warm, da wir in der Nacht die Klima ausmachen mussten, da die sich im Schlafzimmer befindet. Für mich war das Appartement nicht zum Urlaub machen geeignet.

Cozy place in Kona

We liked that the location was close to restaurants, grocery stores, and beaches. We loved that the snorkel equipment was nice and clean. We also liked that there were beach towels, chairs, a beach bag, and sand toys.

− My only complaint was that the beaches were further away than the listing said they would be. We didn't have a car and from what the listing had said, I didn't think we would need one.

It really felt like home away from home!

If you want to stay in a central location in Kona, it's hard to beat this. The owners were responsive and helpful. I could tell care had been put into the property and the items made available for guests to use. Some properties like this go through the motions, but it's clear that they really care that you're enjoying the place! To name a few, there's nice beach gear, including masks and snorkels and fins, sand toys, chairs, a beach umbrella, and a boogie board. Regarding air conditioning, while it's true there's no central AC, for prospective guests to consider: 1) closing the door of the bedroom easily allows the window AC to get the room as cool and dry as you like 2) the window AC isn't noisy; I don't sleep easily, and it didn't bother me in the least 3) on full, it *can* meaningfully lower the temperature of the entire unit given time if you want that 4) it's a great way to dry wet things to hang them from the ample hangs with the AC on overnight and one of the provided fans blowing.

− Only nitpicks. The pool for the condo complex didn't look the cleanest (some leaves and discoloration on the walls). It was clean enough, and we joyfully used it, and nothing bad befell us. The patio furniture outside the unit is a bit worn and swollen, but we didn't use it, and it wouldn't have bothered us if we did. It's clearly functional!
