10.0Von der ersten Sekunde an war unser Aufenthalt einfach fantastisch. Schon der Empfang war außergewöhnlich herzlich und persönlich: Uns wurde nicht nur alles in Ruhe erklärt, sondern auch der Moment, in dem man das Zimmer zum ersten Mal betritt, wurde zu einem echten Highlight gemacht. Das Zimmer selbst ist wunderbar geräumig. Das Badezimmer lässt mit Badewanne, Dusche und zwei Waschbecken keine Wünsche offen. Ein absoluter Traum ist der Blick: Direkt vom Bett aus schaut man auf den Pool und das Meer. Das gesamte Personal ist einmalig – immer aufmerksam, hilfsbereit und sofort zur Stelle, wenn man einen Wunsch hat. Auch das Frühstück im Maalu Maalu überzeugt mit einer vielseitigen Auswahl, bei der wirklich für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei ist. (Das Abendessen haben wir außerhalb genossen.) Da es während unseres Aufenthalts angenehm ruhig war, gab es jederzeit mehr als genug freie Liegen. Positiv aufgefallen ist uns auch das zuverlässige WLAN im gesamten Hotelbereich. Wir kommen definitiv wieder und würden das Maalu Maalu jederzeit erneut buchen!

10.0The staff went absolutely above and beyond and made our stay so special. From the reception staff to housekeeping, restaurant staff and maintenance team, the bar staff, pool area staff and everyone else, were just wonderful. The place was beautiful too, and clean with lots to do. The food was also lovely and varied with a fantastic set up with a chilled room to keep the food fresh. The beach access was fantastic and the whole stay felt really luxurious and personal.

10.0Amazing location and beautiful balcony overlooking the pool and beach. The spa treatments and morning yoga were very special. The Karaoke room had an awesome set up. The staff were very hospitable.

9.0Nous ne sommes habituellement pas fans des hôtels de bord de mer, mais devons concéder que l'endroit était idyllique. Le fait qu'il y avait très peu de monde lorsque nous y avons logé joue aussi un rôle dans notre ressenti. La chambre était spacieuse et moderne avec une gigantesque salle de bain. Nous avons également beaucoup apprécié la piscine avec vue sur la mer. Buffet du petit-déjeuner ou à la carte bon et varié.

From the moment I arrived, it was clear this was going to be a special experience. The service here is nothing short of extraordinary. Every interaction with the staff left me feeling genuinely welcomed — not in a rehearsed, corporate way, but with a warmth and sincerity that is rare to find. The team is incredibly polite, attentive, and always one step ahead of your needs without ever being intrusive. It truly felt like being looked after by family. Passikudah’s turquoise waters and pristine beach are already a dream setting, and Malu Malu makes the most of every inch of it. The property itself is beautifully maintained, and the overall ambiance strikes the perfect balance between luxury and laid-back coastal charm. What sets this place apart is not just the stunning location or the beautiful rooms — it’s the people. The staff go above and beyond expectations at every turn, making sure every guest feels like a VIP. Whether it was a simple request or a special arrangement, nothing was ever too much trouble. If you are looking for the best hotel experience Sri Lanka has to offer, look no further than Malu Malu, Passikudah. I will absolutely be returning, and I cannot recommend it highly enough. A hidden gem that deserves every star and more!
