DO NOT STAY HERE! We arrived late as we had communicated with the owners beforehand. No private or street parking- abandoned and smashed up car on the drive and on the street. Dirty house- dirty bedding, dirty bathroom, dirty cupboards, stained carpets, dirty sponge left in the kitchen sink. Washing up left in the draining board. Fire alarm wouldn't stop beeping. Boiler leeks into a bucket We left the property and had to travel over 10miles to get another hotel. The owners refusing a refund us as we never gave them enough time to sort out the property. However it was 10.30 pm when we arrived and 10.40pm when I contacted them. Heard nothing back until 23.23 so we would have been waiting till gone midnight before they sorted anything.

− Everything I would like to update I must clarify several inaccuracies and misrepresentations in the owners response To begin with, the bottle of wine they referenced was never consumed during our stay. It was brought in following an event we attended, we simply left behind in error when we departed — not a sign of comfort or enjoyment, as implied. There were no glasses to use for a start. Contrary to their claims, we did not watch TV, move furniture, leave drawers open, or place duvet covers on the floor. These statements are simply untrue. We did, however, assess the condition of the space upon arrival and found it to be far below acceptable standards — which is the basis of our complaint. While we did not call immediately, I did WhatsApp, this was not due to a lack of urgency, but rather because the issues were apparent and disappointing enough that we felt it necessary to document and raise them formally. Remaining at the property briefly does not equate to satisfaction — it was a matter of practicality while alternative arrangements were made. Rather than responding constructively to legitimate concerns, their reply attempts to discredit our experience by making unfounded assumptions. We stand by our review as an honest and measured account of what we encountered.
