Quiet, spacious house in East End - good for a family stay away from the cruise crowds
9.0The East End is very quiet, and the view from this villa is right over the beach. We enjoyed sitting on the outdoor patio with our coffee watching the sunrise over the water. There are minimal grocery stories, so loaded up on groceries was key. There were a few very basic corner stores in the area. The beach was was rocky so we didn't really do any swimming right in front of the rental, but we did enjoy having the double kayak on hand for exploring. The villa is 4 minutes drive from the Blowholes which was really fun. We visited the Botanical Garden and also a few of the public beaches. Rum Point is less than 30 minutes drive away. We had a full house (4 adults, 6 kids) so the house configuration wasn't ideal for all the kids. We did a LOT of cooking at the villa, so only having one spatula and one sharp knife was a challenge! The kitchen had some basic spices, paper towels, garbage bags. The airconditioning was strong which was good given the persistent heat and humidity!
− The photos on the website make it seem like the pool AND beach are both at this villa, but the pool is actually across the road with the main set of villas. It was a very short walk to go for a swim in the pools (which were pretty clean), but the pool was not immediately outside this villa. We had a few issues (ants, missing towels) and the property manager was exceptionally responsive. The upstairs toilet was very noisy after flushing and sounded like a dying bird - I've no clue why it was making such a racket!
