Vyborna reatauracia, skvela casnicka Paula. Manazment kompenzoval vypadok el. prudu vecerou gratis - mile gesto. Ciste, dobre vybavenie, bazen s barom na streche.

Very clean. Nice little roof pool and excellent sky bar. Restaurant is very good too.

Staff are superb — friendly, helpful, and genuinely went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. Rooms are generously sized, comfortable and finished to a high standard, with a considered, tasteful, boutique feel. The hotel has a good restaurant and a nice ice cream parlour attached, and there's another good beach restaurant nearby (Las Palmas) where you can eat by the sea. It's a moment's walk from a beach — rare in Malta — and a couple of minutes from some good rocks and snorkelling. All of which makes it a genuinely good boutique alternative to the large resort hotels crammed along so much of Malta's coast.

− We were disappointed by the roof pool and terrace. It was very hot during our stay, and for some reason they have chosen "crochet" style sun shades that let far too much sun through to be either protective or comfortable — a strange choice. The pool, as so often, is smaller than it looks in photos, and much of the space is given over to a bar. So it's fine if you want to sit in the shallows with a cocktail, but not good for swimming or stretching out. There is also a very loud sound system playing constantly on the roof. As a result, we hardly used the roof, which seemed a shame, as it could be a lovely spot — and elsewhere you generally have to pay for shade. This isn't unique to this hotel: Maltese hotels seem to like these pool-club setups, with lots of music and pools that are really there to serve cocktails in. So perhaps just a mismatch of needs. We also had issues with noise. There is an ice cream parlour on the same sound system, playing music all day through a speaker positioned about 20 feet from our terrace, loud enough to hear inside the room with the balcony door shut. The staff did what they could to keep it low or off, and were helpful throughout. Again, some people may not mind this, and it may be specific to our room, 105. The hotel is also quite near the main coast road. This isn't a big problem for the most part, but early at weekends you get modified motorbikes screaming past on their way to the coast. There was a power cut during our stay, which has been an issue in Malta recently over the summer months. The hotel was very quick to offer a refund for the night, which was generous given the matter was entirely beyond their control. The hotel is surrounded by car parks, though this doesn't make parking easy as in the evening in summer they fill up. We did always find a spot, though this did require driving further along the coast to park off-road.

We had an excellent stay at XVI Suites. The staff was exceptionally good! Always polite and helpful. One of the best customer services for sure. Our room was spacious and very clean. The breakfast at Elba restaurant was great. We also had dinner one night and it was excellent. Great view and service at the rooftop bar as well! The hotel is right next to the sea. The beach is rocky but we enjoyed it a lot nonetheless as the sea is super clean. It's very easy to get around the island as there is a bus stop next to the hotel which is well connected. Already thinking about staying here next time we come to Malta!
