Enjoyed the week stay.
7.0The location is great. Near St Andrews, and a lovely easy access site. The lodge was overall lovely and clean. Restaurant and gym were good. Staff were nice. Overall a nice stay and would recommend the site.
− A few niggling things. The frame around the hot tub was broken. They did tell us about this when we arrived because of the bad weather and that it would get fixed but it never did and we were there for a week. The tub itself was ok but several broken jets with sharp plastic bits sticking out. Bathroom radiator had a slow leak on the pipe. And bathroom light flickered on and off like a disco party. The wifi was terrible. A basic 4g router and not proper broadband, average user wouldn’t mind that but with teenagers who game at night it was useless. The bedrooms were a tight fit. One of the bedroom doors wouldn’t shut, a knob was missing from a bedroom cabinet and the freezer had a massive chunk of ice blocking one of the drawers. Bit these are all picky things .. the positives outweigh the negatives but just a few niggles like these could be improved on for what is a 5star site .
I was disappointed for the price
4.0The location was beautiful and the reception staff were lovely. The place was clean and tidy.
− This was advertised as a "lodge" resort. Unfortunately, upon arrival, we soon realised it was a static caravan with small beds and very little space to manoeuvre within the "bedrooms" the double bedroom had a good sized bed with en suite toilet but for the price I paid to celebrate my daughters birthday I had expected more. The hot tub was clean, and the lovely staff had set it up ready for our arrival, but even that was small and could only comfortably accommodate 2 adults at the one time.
After explaining our experience to the manager we were kindly invited back for a complimentary stay, which was lovely an
