A wonderful house for a large family gathering!

9.0

The house and garden were perfect for our families, which included two dogs and small children. The enclosed garden was excellent.

The kitchen, dining and living space is relatively small if all the bedrooms are in full use, but it wasn’t a problem for us, especially as we had good weather and were able to make use of excellent outdoor space.

Loved every minute of our 3 night stay !

10.0

Spacious , clean and modern with 2 sitting rooms and a huge dinning room table which the family loved . The Hosts have literally thought of everthing you would need if you stayed here . Plenty of pots , pans , glasses , board games , outside activities. The laundry facilities were great especially as we had done a 22 mile trek in rain and winds ! The bedding and towels were good quality , pleanty of teatowels and cleaning products . The grounds were so lovely , wellkept and the scenery was beautiful . The house itself always felt warm and cosy considering it is so big but if you needed it there was plenty of wood for the log burners . Nice little touches like the Smores hamper , dog biscuits ( great room where the dog cage is kept ) . Loved the covered area off the utility room to sit out on a warm night , the little lights and buntins just added to the quaintness and also the birds nest . plenty of toilets , 2 upstairs in the spaciuos bathroom and shower room , one in the downstairs shower room and lastly off the utility area . plenty of toilet rolls , shower gel and again little touches like ladies sanitary items . Lots of places to sit outside in the huge garden and enjoy a BBQ , 2 large umberellas for shade and a tree swing

An excellent place to stay for our long weekend with a group of 11

10.0

A lovely large house, well furnished with excellent facilities and in a beautiful, isolated location. It was ideal for our group of 11 with a very well equipped kitchen and plenty of space to eat and relax. There is also space to park several cars and even an EV charging point. Well situated for an energetic after dinner walk (1.3 miles) to the charming local pub, The Wallace Arms.

Nothing really, hard to fault

So good for a group stay!

9.0

Well restored and renovated. Great location for walks. Had such a good stay. Loved the kitchen dining area. Fabulous garden.

Our big 4 poster bed in downstairs bedroom only had a double mattress so I kept hitting my feet and shins off the bed frame. The living room didn’t really fit the whole group on an evening without some having to sit on dining chairs.
