10.0Is Perdas is an ideal and quiet location for couples and families wishing to explore south Sardinia. It is an easy hour drive from Cagliari airport that will place travelers strategically among Nuraghe sites, hiking parks/trails, local historical towns, coastal archeology, and beaches. The view from our room looked out onto a rolling hillside. Our sleep was restful during deeply quiet dark nights made for stargazing. The upgraded bathroom and quality mattress exceeded our expectations. A bonus: we were not expecting the outstanding kitchen, and we ate breakfast and dinner there our entire stay. We liked most the kind, thoughtful staff, especially the little details carefully arranged everywhere such as the room/lodge decorations, collected/displayed antiques, and impressive table service. We would stay here again, and although we traveled as a couple this time, we would not hesitate to bring our family here as children would love exploring the grounds, playing with the dogs, and swimming in the pool. Next time we will plan enough time in our schedule to arrange tours and take cooking classes--we are still thinking about the pasta and tarts we ate.
