The location was fine, a little loud at night but great that it has it's own parking space. We were able to book late check out (at an additional cost) which was great as we were attending a wedding and didnt want to rush out.

I have shared this with the accommodation already but felt it should be shared for full transparency. We were there during the heatwave and while it's normal not to have Aircon, no fans were provided. We were given one towel each and no hand towel for when we washed our hands. The rug in the living room was damp, not sure why. It had not been cleaned properly for a while as there were cobwebs with thick dust on them throughout. The bathroom flooded within seconds of using the shower, and we had no way of mopping it up. We had to use our towel and it was brown from how dirty the floor actually was.

Bad experience

1.0

Nothing, did not reside in the apartment from 06/07/26 - 09/07/26, because of issues.

On arriving at 47 Welsh Row Nantwich on 06/07/26, as we entered the property we could detect a foul odour on checking the Sofa we found a large stain and as it was the only recognised seating area we xould not use it. I contacted Esther and provide photographs, I also informed her and Ross from Rupa Lettings that we are not going to stay in the accommodation because of the smell and the very stained furnishings. I informed both parties that I will be looking for a full refund of the cost for this property because the apartment did not meet the basc standards.

foul drains, uncomfortable bed, not clean

3.0

An allocated private parking space was useful. The location is convenient as very central.

This property is neither 'new' nor 'cosy' as advertised. The front door opens directly onto the street pavement, so it is very noisy, especially at night. It is useful for ease of access to the town. But not useful for sleep. The bed is a small double (if you are 6ft your feet will hang off the edge.) It has broken slats or the mattress needs replacing and it has a huge dip in it. 2 people couldn't comfortably sleep in it regardless of size. The kitchen requires cleaning. The drawers are dirty. The fridge is dirty and door shelf broken. I had to clean before use. There are ants everywhere. The rim of the washing machine was disgusting. It was thick with grime and also had a rusty nail in it. I had to clean the sludge out before use. The washing machine also drains out onto the patio. The drain smell is foul. Which is particularly unpleasant as the kitchen back door backs onto the patio. The bathroom is barely usable. When you flush the toilet it bubbles in the shower plug, and water rises in the bowl. It's clearly blocked. When you use the shower you have about 30 seconds before the shower tray floods as the water doesn't drain down the plug. It is also not helped by the mouldy shower screen seal. The water marks on the kitchen ceiling indicate this is not a new problem. The drains need maintenance and the apartment needs a deep clean. I alerted the property to the issues during the stay but since it was the weekend, it was noted but ignored. Yet when I complained to booking.com, management claimed I had not alerted them to the issues. Luckily customer service was able to review the multiple messages I had sent which clearly refuted their claim of lack of knowledge. Management initially offered an insulting £20 refund (which doesn't even cover the £45 cleaning fee). They then offered a one-night refund on the condition that I do not post a review. I declined this unethical attempt to suppress an honest review.

Great little place. Super location. Perfect parking.

The property has clearly been recently(?) renovated and is well maintained. It was perfect for me as a solo traveller with everything available that I required. Parking is private which is important for me. I’m not a fan of leaving my car on the main road.

As others have said, the property is right on the main road so can be a little noisy. This was probably more noticeable during my stay as it was hot (30+ degrees C) and I had the windows open through the night to get some air. It didn’t stop me from sleeping however.
