8.0* Beautiful location with stunning surroundings. * The Presidential Villa was lovely, spacious, and exceeded our expectations. * The heated pool was fantastic and much appreciated. * Overall cleanliness of the villa was very good. * Overall, the property was better than we expected and we had a very enjoyable stay.
− * This was the only place during our trip that didn’t provide any arrival welcome touches such as a welcome letter, welcome flowers, or a welcome drink. Apart from complimentary milk and bottled water, the arrival experience felt a little underwhelming. * We had seen the complimentary straw hats mentioned in previous guest reviews, and they were something my wife and I had been looking forward to using during our stay. Unfortunately, we were told the hotel had run out. There was only one extra small straw hat left, which was offered to our youngest daughter. We appreciated the gesture, but it was still a little disappointing, especially as the hats appeared to be a memorable part of the guest experience. * The complimentary tote bags with leather straps were heavily affected by mould. Although the villa manager Ana kindly tried to clean them for us, there was still visible mould remaining. The cotton bag also had a strong mouldy smell inside and out, making it unpleasant to use. This was disappointing, especially as our children had hoped they could use the bags during our stay. * It would be helpful to provide a small bottle of cooking oil in the kitchen. We wanted to cook breakfast on our first morning but had to drive offsite to buy some. * The hairdryer in the master bedroom ensuite is so old that the plastic parts becoming very sticky. * We found a pair of socks left inside the washing machine from a previous guest. * The rubber seal around the washing machine was very mouldy and could benefit from a thorough clean or replacement. * It would be great if guests staying in the Presidential Villa were offered access to the garage. It would provide additional privacy. * We tried to AirPlay the World Cup final to the TV for over an hour but unfortunately couldn’t get it to work. The villa manager doesn’t know the AirPlay password for the TV, and we carefully checked the compendium from cover to cover but couldn’t find any instructions or login details.
