Good but expensive and some flaws.
7.0Very classy in the main. Highly attentive staff (apart from the odd glitch). Clean and tidy. Very good breakfast.
− Swimming pool is a joke. The first swimming pool I’ve even come across with no shallow end. So therefore very difficult for anyone under 11 to enjoy. Concierge slow to respond in advance of trip.

A great place to treat yourself after roughing it in Peru.
8.0The breakfast buffet had a very good selection of local and international ingredients including specialty ingredients for Asians ( I believe Chinese specifically with soup and steamed "dumplings"), bagels, pancakes, bacon and eggs, lots of different bread types, croissants and such, and freshly squeezed juices among others. The restaurant I would rate as almost fine dining, with the prices on paar with European expected prices. Personel are very well trained, friendly and attentive. There is an automatic service charge (tip) applied to all purchases in the hotel (not sure about the "beer garden")
− The freely accessible wellness area (included in the room price) is extremely cramped, the sauna has about enough room for two people, the two jacuzzi hottubs is crammed with 3 people and the relaxation area is situated directly between the two hottubs. So in short the Sauna, Shower, relaxation area and hottubs are all in the same space, the treatment area (where you go if you have booked an extra treatment) is about 3 times as large, with a steam bath and a couple of different saunas and multiple showers. I've been to multiple Spa hotels in Europe and unfortunately Tambo del Inka has chosen to charge extra for their wellness and spa areas, their freely accessible wellness area is worse than some standard airport hotels in Europe. The outdoor part of the swimming pool only manages to get a small strip of sunlight during the day and at over 2.000 meters above sea level the sun makes a big difference. That was an architectural mistake that can't be improved upon, the pool is heated so its not that big of a deal. If you actually want to sunbathe you have to be early enough to reserve one of the 3 chairs that manage to get sun.
