I would have liked to stay even longer than my two days. Very comfortable nice homie cottage.

This cottage was very roomy and nicely decorated. I would stay here again.

Property needs a lot of improvement

The property did not have any bugs

The property is not as clean or well maintained as the photos suggest. The “cottage” is extremely worn down and poorly cared for. The shower is very small, and the shower floor feels unstable, like it could give way. The bathroom floor is also poorly built and badly worn. Because the shower curtain does not keep water in, the entire bathroom floor gets soaked and never fully dries. Every day I had to layer towels on the floor because it was still wet from the day before. I had to hover over the toilet just to avoid stepping in water, which was especially miserable since I stayed during a snowstorm and it was freezing. There is no central heat. The only heat source was an electric fireplace that is mostly just a large piece of furniture with a fake fire on a screen. The actual heater is a very small slot where the heat comes out, about 7 inches long and 1.5 inches high, which is completely inadequate to heat the space. I contacted the owner to ask about additional heating and was told there were none, and that the window unit was only for AC. Despite knowing a snowstorm was coming, the owner still only provided this inadequate heater. Even set to 95 degrees, the place remained very cold. The kitchen was unclean and clearly needs a deep cleaning and appliance replacement, especially the stove. Under the sink was a plunger with visible tissue on it, which suggests a bathroom plunger is being used in the kitchen. That was extremely gross and unhygienic. The biggest issue happened when I was trying to leave. The cottage is located behind the main house, less than 20 feet away, and the only way in or out is through the main house fenced gate. After the snowstorm, the entire backyard was covered in about six inches of snow and ice. I’m a female and I was staying there alone. I could not carry or drag my heavy luggage through it. The day before my departure, I tried to exit and realized I was effectively trapped because the gate was blocked by snow.

Quiet and clean.

Shower leaked a lot of water onto the floor and I couldn’t figure out why.

I was extremely quaint and it helped us because the location is close to my husband‘s mother who needed some care. We felt very safe and comfortable.

The house we stayed in was behind the house they showed from the outside. A bit confusing. But the house we stayed in we really liked, everything we needed and we felt safe.
