− I initially had no check in details prior to my arrival, so messaged with no response on arrival, my phone calls were not accepted. I rang a mobile number on the confirmation, and someone answered and asked why I was ringing him and how did I get his number and requested a screen shot of my confirmation, I sent a photo. Once I had explained my booking, said he would get someone to ring me. Joey rang with some reason why the booked accommodation wasn't available and would message by Whatsapp of another property, had a couple of messages with different access codes. I went around to the other property using the codes to enter the property to be greeted by a guy through an open apartment door by what do you want? tried to explain but insisted on proof, but only having confirmation for a different property was a little awkward. Mentioning the name Joey seemed to change his tone, and once I told him I had a code for room one, responded to tell me the room was in the loft. It was in the loft, Very steep stairs and with the door to the room wedged open and clearly in use or not made up, I turned around and started to leave the 3m x 3m room with the guy promptly removing the pillow cases. He explained he was the Caretaker for my original booking. Feeling quite stressed by now, decided to book in at the local Travelodge. I messaged Joey who and requsted a refund which he responded to with " I understand, we'll process the refund '' I subsequently received a message from Booking.com, saying that the property has offered a full fee waiver for cancellation. I await full refund.!!
