9.0The whole house was ideal for us
− Security code front door lock
Fantastic experience! We enjoyed the stay in the house. Would back again.
10.0Excellent mattresses and beddings!! very good for sleeping!! The place is quiet and easy to find too:-)
− The pans and pots have scratches and also I find it hard to use the oven. Apart from that the property is brilliant!!
Poor
3.0To be fair; bedding was clean and comfortable, some basics (definitely no more than that) were provided in the kitchen. The host was accommodating with an earlier check-in and most importantly did respond when we complained about the state of the property upon arrival. As you'll read below though, many things should have been sorted out before advertising for visitors.
− We were absolutely disgusted by our accommodation (Cosy 3 bedroom house for long or short stay). Booking confirmation number. The house was absolutely not as advertised, was dirty, poorly equipped, and had a horrible persistent chemical smell which made us all feel unwell. When we checked into the accommodation we were immediately hit by the terrible smell as soon as we opened the front door. It was a very strong chemical smell like from some kind of insect spray or possibly moth balls. Even opening all doors and windows did not improve the smell much at all. We also noticed the chemical smell ruined fruit such as apples that we brought which caused them to take on a chemical taste. The house was advertised as having off street parking, however that is a blatant lie. There is no parking attached to the house whatsoever, so our cars needed to be parked on a public street in this unfamiliar area which did not feel secure. The state of dirtiness of the house was appalling. Dead flies were in every room. Significant amounts of dust and other debris in the floors and windowsills, walls and around door frames stained. The bathroom walls had stains including from previous residents brushing their teeth. It is clear the house has not been properly cleaned for a long time. The fit of the property is extremely poor. One of the doors from the fuse cabinet was missing, exposing the fuses, the patio outside uneven and with significant tripping hazards. The seals around the shower tray had clearly not been done properly and were peeling off. The kitchen tap was extremely loose to the point that filling a bottle was difficult due to how much the tap moved. The garden had loose rubbish piled up (old wooden boards etc and an old rusty oil drum) in it so it was not a safe place for our son to play. The garden front and back also had a lot of old cigarette butts which had never been cleaned up.
