No sleep
1.0Nice grounds
− It stated Aircon was just portable but didn't work properly because filter so dirty .toilet doesn't flush properly.the light in front room dangerous lamp by sofa kept flickering and buzzing going on off .there was power cut not there fault national grid but they got alarm system with keypad by the bed and front door that kept going off all night and no code to turn off no sleep at all
Lovely place, inexpensive, not the most comfortable
6.0It's a beautiful property on gorgeous grounds.
− It's a showroom flat rather than a place to be comfortable. There is one bin in the whole place (kitchen, which was well-appointed generally barring niceties like kitchen roll or instant coffee that is usable). The bathroom had no bathmat or handtowels, slightly mouldy smell on arrival. Advertised as an air-conditioned apartment, it has a single mobile unit that can do one room at a time and with the exhaust hanging out a window that had to remain open (letting in warm air). We were there in extreme heat, so an unusual situation (hopefully), and with the purchase of another fan, we managed to keep two of the three bedrooms cooler than hot overnight, using the ac unit and two fans but only by making the rest of the flat virtually uninhabitable. Based on the beautiful single-thickness historical windows, winter is likely to have the opposite issue. Miscommunication with the owner initially gave a general impression that hospitality isn't his first choice of occupation, but he was quick to get the cold water sorted when it stopped running on the last day. It was quite a different experience from the usual ABnB-type hospitality. Final point - three double bedrooms allows for effectively 6 adults, which could be in two or even more than three cars. Parking is a bit tight.
Beautiful house and grounds Martin was nice
9.0Great weekend away
− Nothing really was very comfortable and lovely grounds

9.0Lovely apartment in beautiful grounds and conveniently close to the motorway. Highly recommended.
Nice area but needed some attention to detail..
5.0− Pros Nice grounds Secure Clean bedding Spacious accommodation Cons No welcome hamper or basic essentials provided (e.g., tea, milk), which would have been appreciated. Communication with the host was poor. Upon arrival, we were told we were at the wrong gate, which was confusing and stressful, especially on a busy main road with unclear signage. During check-out, there were no instructions about where to leave the key, which was required to exit the gated property. Despite calling twice and sending a message, we received no response. The bathroom was not properly cleaned. There were hairs in the bath and grime on surfaces, a nearly empty hand soap bottle, no bin, and visible cobwebs. The lounge had no curtains or blinds, so there was no privacy in the evenings. This also meant the room became very hot during the day, particularly with temperatures reaching 30°C. The fire alarm was being tested just as we arrived and continued to go off intermittently for around 45 minutes. Overall, the property would benefit from some basic maintenance, fresh paint, addressing leaks and cracks, and a general refresh to bring it up to standard. Stairs to the apartment weren’t mentioned in the property description we found them fine but others may not, the garden furniture needed repairs and it was not clean needed brushing down to sit on.
Not reflective to the apartment description.
8.0It was central to everywhere we wanted to be. The beds are very comfortable. It's a very spacious apartment and well laid out. The security it top notch. There is plenty of seating space in the living room and the TV streaming service is a bonus especially after busy days out when you just want to curl up and watch TV, play games (games not included) or read a book.
− It didn't show the staircase up to the apartment (which people with disabilities or mobility problems would find difficult) however we did manage the stairscase but I would not recommend the apartment to people that struggle with stairs) and it did not mention stairs it in the description box. There was no baloney as described with patio furniture, we were not informed that you had to go to the Stable gate entrance to get to the apartment and not the main entrance then phone the owner when you arrived to be let in through the electric gates and the apartment. Please be aware that the entrance is on a very busy road. There's no iron or ironing board, but there are clothes steamer, it needs to have a booklet describing how things work (central heating, ect). The hot water in the kitchen does not get hot, and you have to run the shower for a few minutes to get hot water in the bathroom.
