Beautiful view despite a quirky bathroom arrangement

What a lovely, quiet hilltop location with huge views over the bay. It is a craftsman’s house with very comfortable living spaces and a beautiful outdoor terrace, which overlooks the ocean. Being able to have a fire at night with fresh logs was an added bonus.

− We needed a better explanation as to where the actual rental unit is located (a small sign on the fence pointing downhill would’ve helped tremendously) as well as a better explanation as to how to heat the house. Those of us not familiar with “heat pumps” needed a short description about using the combo air conditioner/heater up on the wall with the remote and and a note about it being a few minutes before the heat starts up. The master bath is completely open to the bedroom area, so there is no privacy when using the toilet or tub. A simple curtain or according to across this opening would easily solve this issue. There’s also no shower in the master, only a deep bathtub (no shower curtain) that is quite difficult to get in and out of. Having only one trash bin upstairs in the shared bathroom was inconvenient.

Amazing access to all aspects of this beautiful Retro home with a view that could never disappoint. Clean, comfortable, welcoming; truly a home from home. Lovely sitting room with plenty of room for everything and everybody. Beautiful modern kitchen with everything you could want including superior coffee maker and pods. Immaculate bedding, bedrooms, furnishings and bathrooms. We would highly recommend this property.

− We were happy everything here. Yes, the driveway is narrow but we were prepared as it’s in the blurb. Yes, it was chilly on arrival (July) but the heaters soon created a cosy kitchen diner and the living room has a beautiful fire place to back up the heater. It’s a shame we didn’t get a chance to test drive curling up in front of that.

Très bien pour un séjour court ou long. La vue est incroyable.

Incredible views and a comfortable stay in a big heritage-looking house. The house is old, but the interior has been completely redone. It has everything you need for a lovely stay in Napier. If you're an international traveller, heads up that Kiwis call an air conditioning unit a 'heat pump'. That took us a minute to figure out.

− The only thing to note is that the driveway is steep, and the entrance to the parking area is very narrow on the edge of a cliff. We were in a Toyota Rav 4, and we just squeezed through. So if you're travelling with a bigger car than that, you'd have a problem.
