Air conditioning not working properly. Great house, but A/C must be fixed.

The house and its amenities were truly great. The pool, the kitchen, and the grill were all excellent, and the layout of the house was well thought out. The location was great too. We were close to the places we wanted to visit around Huatulco, and we really enjoyed the beachfront perk.

− We had a serious problem with the air conditioning. The house runs entirely on solar panels, and the A/C did not work at night. This area gets extremely hot, so not being able to use it at night was a real ordeal. We were barely able to sleep. When we raised it with the manager, they told us we couldn't use the A/C during the day so that we'd have it at night. But even on days when we used it for just one hour in the afternoon (once the solar battery had charged) and then tried to use it at night, it lasted less than an hour. On top of that, the manager tried to convince us we were using the system incorrectly because we weren't "supposed" to run it during the day if we wanted it at night. What kind of expectation is that for guests? We really didn't like how they handled the situation. They never offered any alternative. No extra fans, no cold towels, nothing that might have helped us get through the night. They simply insisted that we were the problem. If this house gets this situation fixed, I would give them a much better rating. If a property publishes that they have A/C, the minimum expectation is that it works at least 90 to 95% of the time, not the other way around.
