10.0It was so remote. The mountains loomed large, making the fire was awesome and the cottage was utterly cosy. It had everything we needed.
Convenient and cosy and cabin with the essentials
7.0Convenient location - perfect stop off on drive to Franz Josef. Close to Arthur’s pass village and walks. Place was clean and had the amenities we needed for a night. Self check in was straightforward. Electric heater and mattress heaters were nice to have
− It was a little cramped with 3 people and luggage but we didn’t mind too much for a night

10.0The facilities were great, plenty of hot water, pot belly heating, very, very good\, plenty of firewood and pine cones. Great location, easy to find. Hotel just down the road...(great whitebait fritters)!! Would highly recommend these Huts. The 3 of us are in our 70s and really enjoyed our stay.

9.0Alles war gut. Alles sauber. Uns haben Zug und Straße überhaupt nicht beeinträchtigt. Herrlicher Sternenhimmel zu beobachten. Holz Ofen war sehr gemütlich. Jederzeit wieder.
− Man könnte vielleicht Müllbeutel bereit legen. Das wär hilfreich.
Eine urige Hütte.
8.0Diese Unterkunft ist eine alte urige Eisenbahnerhütte, die nicht viel Komfort bietet. Aber das steht alles in der Beschreibung, und daher war ich ganz zufrieden mit der Hütte. Genau was ich mir vorgestellt hatte. Die Lage ist gut, man kann einerseits zum Arthurs Pass fahren oder weiter 'runter' nach Westen. Viele Wanderwege sind gut erreichbar.
− Die Hütte bräuchte mal eine Grundreinigung. Alte Teppiche sollte ersetzt werden. Das Bad benötigt eine Gardine oder Rollo vorm Fenster.
