We had both Villas for a family trip, for a whole week. Everything was great: - Fantastic location with direct private access to the sea. You can always go for a swim or just sit by the sea. - Large, green garden with plenty of places to relax and eat (including a kitchen outside!). - The villas were very well equipped with everything we needed, including bikes and kitchen utensils. - Pasquale is an exceptional host. He was incredibly welcoming, gave us excellent recommendations, and was always available if we needed anythin. - The location is ideal: quiet and private, yet only a few minutes from Polignano a Mare. I had my morning runs up to the central square and back, along the footpath overlooking the sea. - The property is an great base for exploring the surrounding area, including Monopoli, Alberobello, and other towns. There is a "tuk-tuk" service a few meters from the door that brings you to the nearest places. There are also wineries and nice beaches in a few minutes drive. - We especially enjoyed spending the evenings outside in the outdoor dining area (the only thing to be beware of are the mosquitos).

A great home base for exploring the Bari province

For context, my husband and I stayed for 3 weeks in May. The place has 2 bedrooms, a living/kitchen room and can accomodate 4-5 adults comfortably. Pictures were taken a few steps from the house and at beach of Porto Cavallo. Location, 10/10! - It is 20 min leisurely walk (10 min by bike) to the Town center of Polignano A Mare - a 10 minute walk to a small sandy beach (Porto Cavallo), - the seaside is your backyard - Ample private and gated parking. Most places advertise “free” parking but what they mean is street parking which is almost impossible and very frustrating to find specially after a long day or late at night The villa (round, which is 1 of 2 in the property) - Clean - Comfortable bed - blackout curtains in the bedroom - strong water pressure - Well stocked kitchen and bathroom amenities - Screened windows with shutters allow for light and air to move in and out, while keeping (most) bugs out - Gas stove and oven, makes it so much easier to cook with. Other - free use of bikes. The bikes are geared and while not new they do the job. Riding them around town gives you the fun Italian vibe. - Weekly cleaning - Beach umbrella, lounge chairs, beach mat, towels - Direct access to the seafront accessed through the backyard’s side gate - The shower/toilet is a little peculiar by US housing standards, but didn’t really cause us any discomfort. It’s like how a small RV/boat is configured. The best part of the stay, 100%, is having a great host. Signore Pasqualino along with his business partner, Signore Ahmed, are both very nice people who took the time to check in on how things are going and asked if there was anything else we needed to make our stay comfortable.

− What could make it better for stays longer than a few days, although I am not sure if the city has an energy consumption restriction which maybe the reason these are not available during our stay: - Small microwave for warming left overs - On the few hot nights, an additional air conditioner in the master bedroom. For the most part it was cool so we slept with the windows open allowing the cold breeze in and through, but the birds tweeted a little early and I’m not an early riser. - Slightly larger TV - Stronger/faster WiFi signal for streaming devices. Side note, during our stay the city of Polignano (via FB page) posted several times that they were spraying (at certain nights) for flying bugs, suffice it to say small (dead) bugs manage to somehow end up on the floor. Thank goodness, I didn’t have any mosquito bites during our stay. Final note, unless you’re staying in a 5 star hotel (think Ritz Carlton) there are many things that US lodging differs from Italy. To make your stay enjoyable, adjust your expectations accordingly.

A fantastic first week in Puglia made us enjoy the beautiful region even more!

Host is very friendly and accommodating : upon arrival we were lead efficiently through the compound by Ahmed, and found everything according our expectations. Owner Pasquale is extremely customer-friendly and treated us on home-made bio-wine. But at the end, the felling of space made us very happy!
