The location is great, views are awesome and it’s a cosy place. Fabio was an awesome host, always ready to help. There are also stairs going down to the main road so you can shorten your walk to the beach if you want (but it takes some time to climb back 🙂)

− The parking (like whole Madeira) is quite hilly but it’s not bad to park there. I recommend to drive there down after turning right at Miradouro do Pigarro. The street is pretty narrow but not so far from the parking spot. Also keep in mind that the main entrance is located few steps down so you need to drag your luggage through the stairs.

We enjoyed our 3 nights in Calheta with this rental as our base. It has a beautiful view, and it's very quiet and peaceful, especially in the evenings! The unit is well equipped with everything you could need and we especially loved being able to do laundry during our stay.

− The driveway and the parking area is very steep and takes a while to get used to. The stairs outside the unit can lead you down to the town, but it's a bit of a trek. After doing it a few times on foot we got tired and decided to drive down!

Checkin und Schlüssel Übergabe waren sehr einfach, gute Kommunikation mit dem Eigentümer, die Ausstattung war super und vollkommend ausreichend, Bett bequem, alles sauber und ordentlich, Aussicht auf der Terrasse und von der Küche grandios, sehr ruhig gelegen…wir fühlten uns sehr wohl. In Calheta gab es einen Supermarkt, der eine grosse Auswahl hat. Zu Fuß geht es dorthin über eine sehr lange steile Treppe hinunter…ca 20 min nach unten.

− Wenn man mit dem Mietauto kommt, sollte man ein geübter Autofahrer sein und das Auto sollte nicht zu groß sein. Sehr steile und enge Einfahrt und Strasse zum Haus.

Zwei Terassen. Zimmer sehr geräumig

− Das Zimmer ist nur über sehr viele (ca. 70) Stufen zu erreichen (sollte man bei Anreise mit etwas mehr Gepäck wissen) Ein Sonnenschirm o.ä. wäre sehr hilfreich. Die Terrasse ist ein öffentlicher Durchgang, um vom Berg über schmale Treppen in den Ort bzw. ans Meer zu kommen also nicht wundern, wenn beim Frühstück gelegentlich Anwohner oder andere Urlauber über die vermeintlich private Terrasse spazieren. Im Wohnzimmer wäre ein Couchtisch und im Schlafzimmer eine Kommode sehr hilfreich.

Très bien pour 8 / 10 jours pour notre part. Très propre. Cuisine équipée comme il faut. Bien couché. Jolie vue.

− Sortie du parking privé difficile avec une voiture type Juke / Nissan car très en pente avec virage. Possibilité de se garer plus haut, mais c'est haut.
