Something of an oasis, which must be lovely in the warmer months
8.0The peaceful rural surroundings make this a relaxing rental. There are a few neighbouring houses so you don't feel too secluded.There is ample comfortable space inside and outside so a guests can do their things. The well looked-after garden, pool and patios are enjoyable.. Most of the facilities were in good working order and of a generally good standard. Ample crockery and cutlery. Two bathrooms. This house must be very nice in the warmer months, when the thick walls are warmer and protect the house from getting too hot. We appreciated the owner's fast response for the problematic gate and for missing items in the kitchen. The owner built the house himself and clearly takes great care of it. Large TV with Netflix etc.
− When we arrived the house was a little cold and very slightly damp. We could feel this in the bedding on the first night. It took a couple of days to warm up the house with air conditioning heat. This is often a risk with rentals in the Mediterranean in spring. (We suggest improving the de-wintering procedure which may mean turning on the heating a couple of days before guests arrive.) The electronic gate didn't work so we had to manage it manually (no big deal). The hot water took a few minutes to come through. The automatic watering in the garden woke us up every night. The air conditioner heating is not something we like much personally when it's on and you are there. WiFi and phone signal sometimes weak. Perhaps it could be nice to have bedside lamps.
Stay was amazing - the villa is beautiful and has everything you need!
