Beautiful period property in a lovely part of the country

10.0

Clean, well equipped, peaceful location, good for children of all ages.

A smart tv or working tv aerial would be good - we managed with bbc iplayer but this addition would improve the house.

A lovely location for an old fashioned weekend away with the family

8.0

I booked it but I didn’t realise how rural the location was, we had a Tesco delivery which was great and Amazon found us but you really are about 2 miles past the middle of nowhere, but on the flip side, apart from a few agricultural vehicles doing what they do and a few people next door we saw no one for 4 days. The lawn at the front of the house became the new home of Crownders, a wonderful mix of cricket and rounders played by 15 people aged 3 to 90. The location bought back memories of family holidays 50 years ago, simpler times, playing games with bat and ball, a badminton net, a shady “pavilion” where the old ‘uns could sit and watch the young ones run around. My mother tells me today that she hasn’t laughed so much for years A quick 30 second stroll bought us to the back of the property with a gated courtyard (handy if you’re bringing dogs) containing a decked area with a large table and umbrellas, a games room with table football and a nicely shady wooden structure above the hot tub which was used a lot

Very little, it was the last day of the premier league and the TV needed some young person/ hot spot action and West Ham lost so maybe you can work on that for next time🤔🤣

Peaceful retreat

8.0

The grounds and house were lovely. Location was peaceful. The hot tub went down a treat. Plenty of space for everyone.

The pots and pans could do with being replaced. The cooker the numbers on the dials have worn off so guess work on the temp.

Great space for a big group, cosy and comfy. Well equipment and great location for walks.

7.0

The house was cosy and well-equipped for a large group. We were warm and comfortable, and the well-kitted-out kitchen was a great bonus. The playroom and hot tub were a great addition to the spaces, so everyone had something to do and enjoyed the house. Great for a big group. The kids loved the freedom of the space.

We couldn't use one of the rooms for the first couple of days due to the wasps in the blue front room. They were also coming up into the ensuite bathroom above. We have two 13-year-olds who were supposed to be sleeping on the sofa bed and have their own space, but had to sleep in the front room due to the wasps. This made it harder for them to sleep. Also, the dishwasher wasn't working properly when we arrived. It had to be unclogged and improved over the weekend.
