Rural location and comfortable rooms in lovely pub
7.0The room was a good size with nice tea/coffee facilities. Bed was comfortable and in the extreme heat the room had been kept as cool as it could, also had a fan in the room to help cool it.
− The television was intermittent, perhaps due to the heat but it was annoying. Also the room The Watermill is over the kitchen extractor fan so it is noisy, there were earplugs provided but I don't want to sleep with earplugs in. The kitchen closed mid-evening and the fan went off but it came on intermittently in the night.

10.0Beautiful hotel with beautiful peaceful grounds, there is a road very close by but it causes no issues at night. Room was very comfortable and clean with everything we needed. The bar is perfect and the food is amazing! I had the sausage and mash which was very good, it doesn't come with sides which can be purchased separately but this didn't inconvenience us at all. Breakfast was continental but it was fine for us. Staff very friendly especially a lady who was working breakfast our first morning and another lady I think works in the kitchen, she was so welcoming on our first night and we had a lovely conversation with her and her husband on our last night, both definitely a credit to the kings head. This place is a gorgeous hidden gem. Thank you for a great birthday stay .
− FLYS! Which cant be helped. There was reflector fans everywhere to deter them but they were rather annoying. Wouldn't stop me from coming again though.
