A large house with zero welcome factor

− Tourists usually don't travel with coffee beans/powder and things like cooking oil, salt or pepper, or laundry detergent. Not providing these basic things means guests need to buy everything just to stay one night, which they won't so the coffee machine, washing machine and kitchen is useless. The futons and pillows are the most uncomfortable I have ever used. They are so thin and cheap that I was reminded of my time in the military when I was sleeping on a towel. Thanks to that experience I rolled up the pillow and managed to support my neck slightly. The projector TV is a pain to set up and we ended up not using it. The trash sorting system was very complicated. It's OK if you have been doing it your whole life but for foreigners it is impossible to understand what goes where. The main reason for us to stay here was the proximity to the beach and the brewery. The beach is very dirty and not suitable for swimming. The brewery wasn't even open. The worst part was there was an advertisement of all the beers brewed by the brewery. We can only experience them through pictures as the brewery was closed. If I was the owner I would have at least put some in the fridge as a courtesy. Basically, there wasn't much point to stay here as it's far away from everything and the special amenities you hoped to get are all not available. We made a special effort to come to experience the taphouse by the sea and we just ended up getting a large house with below average facilities. One of the rooms even had wallpaper half complete. To top things off the owner repeatedly reminded us to check out at 10am or be penalized 3000 yen per 30 mins. This notice was the first thing to welcome you before you check in via messages, as you check in via printed, and as you're about to check out via more messages. The owner clearly wants you gone ASAP! Great, we were glad to go.
