La ubicación es fantástica. Tiene unas vistas inmejorables. La cocina maravillosa

− Le faltaron utensilios de cocina, solo 5 cubiertos, había que poner constantemente el lavavajillas. No había microondas para calentar la leche. Las dos cafeteras de grano. Le preguntamos al anfitrión que tipo de cafeteras había y nos dijo que Nexpreso por lo que llevamos cápsulas, pero no las pudimos utilizar porque esa cafetera no estaba. El primer día tuvimos que desayunar fuera porque cuando llegamos el domingo estaba todo cerrado. Tampoco había fregona ni escoba. La chimenea no conseguimos encenderla. También el anfitrión nos informó mal del bus que venía del aeropuerto, nos dijo que teníamos que coger un taxi porque estaba complicado llegar con la nieve, pero nuestra sorpresa fue que al día siguiente comprobamos que la parada del bus estaba en la puerta de los apartamentos. Por otra parte nos llamaron para ver si podían pasar a ver el apartamento pues estaba en venta. Con el precio que tiene el alquiler me parece una falta de respeto que te llamen para visitar el apartamento mientras tu estás alojado.

Bad experience with the stay

Despite my bad experience with the property, I would say the apartment was cleaned and well designed.

− We booked TA Vervet – Fram through Booking.com, clearly confirmed as an apartment with balcony and sea view, and paid a premium price specifically for this apartment type. Upon arrival, we were instead assigned TA Vervet – Gjoa, which faces inland and belongs to a cheaper category. Management told us that the sea view was “not guaranteed,” despite this not being stated anywhere in the booking confirmation. More importantly, the issue was not just the view — we were given an entirely different apartment type than what we booked and paid for. When we raised this at check-in, management said the Fram apartment was fully booked and only offered other Gjoa units. We were told that if we were unhappy, we could cancel for a full refund. At a late hour in winter, with no realistic alternatives available, this was not a genuine option. We were effectively forced to accept the downgrade. For the entire stay, we were never provided with the Fram apartment we had reserved. As a result, we did not receive the accommodation as advertised and missed out on a major part of the experience that influenced our booking decision. We submitted one compensation request through Booking.com regarding the incorrect apartment allocation, but this request was rejected. The property did not offer any compensation or partial refund for the downgrade. Based on our experience, apartment allocations do not necessarily match confirmed bookings. Future guests should be cautious, double-check details, and be aware that overbooking may occur and that the apartment type shown at booking may not be honored.

Fabulous and we would definitely stay there again

The property is clean, comfortable and well located for all amenities. The views were spectacular. Great roof terrace for viewing northern lights and watching new years fireworks

− Only slight negative was that some of the lights didn’t work in one of the bedrooms and not enough storage for clothes but it wasn’t a problem for us
