Incredible view from an awesome patio. Fireworks more evenings than not, to make it perfect (and despite warnings about mosquitos, we only saw one in a week's stay). Amazing attention from hosts; at our beck and call.

− The place is truly at the end of a dead-end street that phone maps presume stops about a block short, so Bolt/taxi always stopped short --until we waved them forward (I am mildly handicapped),

Brilliant location for exploring Birgu and Valletta. Plenty of space so we could have separate bedrooms. Fantastic view of Valletta and the harbour from the top floor. Great place to relax in the afternoon heat. In a quiet area. Good air conditioning. Washing machine and fridge provided. Near local shops for water etc. We'd return.

Mosquito disaster

Great views from this large 3-bed house over two floors with one extra large bedroom and two extra small bedrooms. Large outdoor terraces if you had the weather to enjoy them. Agents allowed a late check out as compensation for some 30 mosquito bites.

− Mosquitoes! We arrived late and my guests discovered they were each bitten over 14 times as they slept. The small double they shared was infested with mosquitoes. There was no fly screen over the ventilation block. The house next door is derelict and there is an old well exposed nearby which will be a breeding ground for mozzies! The agents responded very quickly to their credit. There were plenty of dead mosquitoes on the walls so it's a shame the previous guests didn't report the problem. The council need to address the open stagnant water asap! The owner is waiting on planning permission to demolish the house. It was a fab pad in its day. Assuming you were into entraining on the terraces with external caterers. There is one very large double room with an ensuite but the other double and single are small. The kitchen is very basic with no microwave.
