The location

− The property was beautiful but the complete instructions for booking were not laid out in a timely manner. The same energy and speed that was taken to accept my money should have been used to make sure the customer understood and completed all booking requirements. I ended up stranded at 3am after driving for 8 hours to get there because my late arrival somehow wasn’t processed and there was no way to communicate with the staff. Nothing was offered for the inconvenience because the booking was non refundable. I think some flexibility should be warranted.

The house was great and exactly what we needed.

− Communication with the property was difficult. I received an email that said I would get the door code 30min before check in, but then later received an email asking me to pay $.01. Since I knew the cleaning deposit was $150, the $.01 seemed odd. I ended up having to call booking.com customer support twice for them to talk to the property then explain that the $.01 was a pre authorization. I had called and messaged the property as well but only received emails that asked me to message rather than call and then an email about needing to pay the cleaning deposit with no link or way to do so. The property was great for us, and now I know the process. But that first night was difficult. It took about an hour to get into the property now we were there, and my son and I were late to the baseball game.
